AASAA Dribble Drive Motion Offense e-book
- Item #: CN16
Its well known that nowadays most teams can really defend very well the offensive screens, making it harder for the dribble penetration (thanks to good one on one defense and helping). This way Walberg decided not to use the classical offensive screens and opted to put the 4 other offensive players well spaced on the outside. With this, the team could now easily open wholes on the defense and open way for the driblle penetrations.
Walberg decided to name it AASAA, which is not something easy to remember, but he just wanted the players to understand what it was all about: attack-attack-skip pass-attack-attack. All Walberg’s teams hear on practice the same slogan: “We like 3 pointers, but we really love layups”. The game stat sheet of his teams shows that his teams don’t shoot very often from mid-range. It’s mostly layups or 3 pointers.
